Mervyn Hurwitz, DDS, celebrates 40 years in the field of cosmetic dentistry

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, June 9, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mervyn Hurwitz, DDS, a dentist in private practice, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of dentistry.

With an impressive background that spans 40 years of professional experience, Mervyn Hurwitz, DDS specializes in family and cosmetic dentistry. At his post, he is responsible for the provision of tooth whitening, root canals, fillings, dental implants, crowns and bridges, dentures and partials, pediatric care and sports dentistry. He also administers TMJ therapy, treats periodontal disease and conducts intraoral photography. Having always been interested in cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Hurwitz made the decision to pursue a career in oral healthcare. He is dedicated to providing high-quality dental care with a personal touch, and is continually educating himself with regard the latest and most state-of-the-art dental techniques.

In 1970, Dr. Hurwitz earned his DDS from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. Prior to settling in Florida in 1990, he worked in dental offices in London, England and Johannesburg, South Africa. He has completed a number of courses in conscious sedation, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and smile design including porcelain veneers, crowns and bridges, implants and periodontal therapy. A fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Hurwitz is a member of the Florida Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
