James P. Brognano Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Brognano is a recipient of the Outstanding Dentist award by Utica Regional Healthcare Center
ROME, NY, October 12, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James P. Brognano, Dental Director for Upstate Cerebral Palsy, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in dentistry.
With 52 years of experience in the dental field, Dr. Brognano is responsible for practicing general dentistry for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. Prior to joining Upstate Cerebral Palsy, Dr. Brognano served as the president of Rome Dental Society and President of the Dental Department of Rome Memorial Hospital. He attributes his success to his hard work and to his father's support and inspiration. He became involved with treatment of handicapped individuals because of his nephew, who has cerebral palsy.
Dr. Brognano completed his internship at EJ Meyer Memorial Hospital, in Buffalo, New York, and his residency at Marcy State Hospital in Marcy, New York. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the School of Dental Medicine at SUNY Buffalo in 1957 and Bachelor of Science from Utica College in 1953. He was elected to the Board of Governors of the 5th District NYS Dental Society.
