Dr. Jeffrey H. Morrison Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Dr. Jeffrey H. Morrison Provides Free Dental Care in Rural Areas Across Latin America
BETHESDA, MD, November 4, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jeffrey H. Morrison, Partner and Dentist of Greater Maryland Dental Partners and Founder of the Bear Hug Foundation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in dental care.
With 22 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Morrison specializes in diagnosis and surgery. He co-manages Greater Maryland Dental Partners, a dental group practice. His responsibilities include diagnosing, preventing and treating oral diseases and disorders, treating trauma patients, and performing surgery and endodontics.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Morrison is busy with the Bear Hug Foundation, a non-profit organization that he founded to provide free, much-needed dental care to patients in rural areas across Central and South America. As head of the organization, he recruits other health professionals and arranges quarterly health service trips. On a recent trip to El Salvador, the group managed to treat 6,000 patients within seven days. Dr. Morrison attributes his success to his thirst for knowledge, the support of his mentors, and the inspiration that he received from his father, a dentist.
Dr. Morrison received his Doctor of Dental Surgery, with honors, from the University of Maryland in 1986. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in History, also with honors, from Williams College in 1982. His professional affiliations include the Maryland State Dental Association, the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators, and the American Dental Association. He was honored with an award by the Harvard Book Club. In his spare time, Dr. Morrison volunteers with the Kiwanis Club of Bethesda. He plans to focus more of his energies on the Bear Hug Foundation in the coming years.
