John M. Ukich, Pediatric Dentist, Has 38 Years of Professional Experience

COEURD'ALENE, ID, December 2, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. John M. Ukich, Pediatric Dentist for Pediatric Dental Center of North Idaho, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in dental care.

Motivated by a desire to make a difference in the lives of children both dentally and personally, Dr. Ukich began his career in pediatric dentistry 38 years ago. He has devoted most of his career to managing his two practices, where he treats children from infancy to adolescence, including those with special needs. Dr. Ukich works with his son, who is also a pediatric dentist, placing emphasis on introducing children to proper care and diet at a young age and getting their parents involved. He began his career as a dental mentor and teacher, deciding to start his practice after he discovered that his talents really lay in dealing with people in a hands-on setting. He attributes his success to working hard and keeping his faith.

Dr. Ukich has served as Chief Mentor in Pediatric Dentistry at a general dentistry practicing program while in the U.S. Army at 1st Infantry Division of Fort Riley. He completed his residency in pediatric dentistry in 1973 at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1971 at Marquette University. His professional affiliations include the Idaho State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Society of Dentistry for Children, and the North Idaho Dental Society.

Also an active member of his community, Dr. Ukich serves as a Bible study teacher for men at Lake City Community Church and has served on the boards of various national and local ministries. In 1999, he founded the Ukich Family Foundation to assist needy individuals and organizations, as well as teach his family the importance of giving back. Always the family man, Dr. Ukich looks forward to continuing his practice with his son. He would also like to work with local dentists to improve technical care and treatment for children.
