FAYETTEVILLE, GA, December 29, 2009 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Marilyn A. Russell D.M.D., MS has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for her remarkable work in the area of Dentistry. Throughout her 30 plus years of dental and teaching experience she has consistently demonstrated the level of excellence required to be extremely successful. Marilyn runs Progressive Periodontics with a supreme dedication.

Progressive periodontics is a specialty practice providing periodontal care, dental implant surgery and a variety of other dental care services. Among the many offerings of the facility are crown lengthening, gum grafting, root resection, periodontal plastic surgery, root coverage, night guards and tooth extraction.

Marilyn earned Bachelor's Degrees in both Hygiene and Dental from the Medical College of Georgia. She obtained her Master's Degree from George Washington University. Russell also graduated Periodontal Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She retired from the United States Army where she earned the highly coveted Legion of Merit Medal.

Russell is affiliated with the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Academy, Georgia Dental Association, North Georgia Dental Society and Georgia Society of Periodontology. She is a member of Hunnam Dental Society as well.
