Dr. Kunkel has been practicing general dentistry since 1984 and he truly loves his profession. During his educational career, Dr. Kunkel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, graduating with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Baylor College of Dentistry. He served as a pharmacist intern and staff pharmacist at M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute as well as a part-time staff pharmacist at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

Dr. Kunkel is a member of the American Dental Association, Southwest Missouri Dental Society, International Congress of Implantology, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Implantology and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
