Cambridge Who's Who Names Dr. Rose-Marie Fay Professional of the Year in Dentistry
Rose-Marie Fay, DDS, MS, celebrates 25 years in her field as both dentist and educator

SUGAR LAND, TX, August 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rose-Marie Fay, Owner of Rose-Marie Fay, D.D.S., M.S., has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Dentistry. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Although Dr. Fay has always felt drawn to the health profession, it was not until she had her first visit with a female dentist that she was truly inspired to enter her current line of work; this dentist was one of the first female professionals she had ever encountered. Dr. Fay soon realized that dentistry would allow her to improve people's quality of life, particularly members of her family who suffered from poor oral health.

Dr. Fay completed undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin and continued her education to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery. However, she believes the highlight of her education, and career, was earning a Master of Science in oral biomaterials from the University of Texas Health Science Center at the Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. With this degree, she became exposed to a whole new set of opportunities in her field. She began conducting research, having it published, and lecturing around the world.

Today, Dr. Fay has gained an impressive 25 years in the field of dentistry, and is even a member of the faculty of The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. While holding this position, she has instituted the curriculum for cosmetic dentistry, and is now considered an expert in this field. The last seven years have seen her as the owner of a private dental practice, where she provides a full variety of dental services. Aside from administering patient care, she performs all of the general responsibilities and duties of a business owner.

Throughout her career, Dr. Fay has been honored with an array of awards, including induction into the Dental School Honor Society. She hopes not only that the future will bring growth to her practice, but that she may combine practice with teaching.
